(Think of the "Preflight Checkup" as a Walk-Around check as with a full scale Aircraft)

PROPELLER
Nicks or cracks - Cracks or Breaks
Tight Prop-nut or Hub - (Esp. Center Section)

WING 
Cracks or Breaks, especially the center   section.
Aileron & Servo hookup is secure
Aileron Servo plug is tight

WHEELS AND CONTROLS
Nose wheel, & Main gear Secure
Axles & Wheel collars Secure
 Nose wheel Steering hookup Secure

GENERAL
No loose Servo or loose Battery wires
 Fuel line not split, or holes - Plug's tight
Foam around the Tank Dry
Battery Pack Secure
Servos & Servo rail secure to fuselage
Clevises & Servo

ENGINE
Tight Engine Mount
Tight Muffler  

FUEL SYSTEM
 Bubbles around Glow Plug
Cracks or Breaks in plug, Head bolts 
loose, head gasket leaking
Tail section Secure to Fuselage
Bubbles around Muffler
Check Wing Dowels and/or Bolts
Secure Needle Valve
Firewall Integrity
Bubbles In Fuel line

CONTROL SURFACES
Control Surfaces able to move smoothly at full throttle glitches.
Cracks or Breaks
Hinges

NOTE FOR SAFETY:
Clevises U Horns
Aircraft should be rechecked for pushrod
slop after every:
hard landing
cartwheel
off-runway landing
Cracks or Breaks for
any other Incident
Check Hinges on lading
Clevises & Horns on landing, that raises a 
pushrod Slop question!
